BEAM
Beams are structural elements that support loads and span between supports. Here are some common types:
1.Simply Supported Beam: Supported at both ends with no restraint against rotation. It is the most common type of beam.
2.Cantilever Beam: Fixed at one end and free at the other. It extends beyond its support and carries loads along its length.
3.Continuous Beam: Extends over more than two supports, with continuous spans.Fixed Beam: Rigidly fixed at both ends, providing greater stability and reducing deflection.
4.Overhanging Beam: Extends beyond its supports on one or both ends.
5.Underhung Beam: Supported from above, typically used in cases where the beam needs to be supported from a ceiling or overhead structure.
6.T-beam: A beam with a cross-section shaped like a "T," providing additional strength and efficiency.
7.L-beam: A beam with an "L" shaped cross-section, used in corner supports or as part of a framework.
Each type of beam has specific applications based on the load it needs to support and the structural requirements of the building or structure.
